    Privacy policy

    Inhere Group Limited (“Inhere”, “we”, “us”) is a New Zealand company. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, www.inherehq.com, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

    This policy covers the website only. It doesn’t cover information processed inside the Inhere platform for our customers, which is governed by our agreements with those customers.

    What we collect

    When you fill in a form

    • Book a demo or contact us: your name, work email, organisation and message, plus your role, what you’re interested in and your preferred next step if you give them.
    • Updates sign-up: your first name, last name, company and work email.
    • Pilot feedback (for organisations piloting Inhere): your organisation, the type of feedback, how much it affects you, your description, a 0–10 score if you give one, and your name and email.

    You don’t have to give us any of this, but we can’t reply to you without your contact details.

    When you browse the site

    If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to see how the website is used. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are (city and country), your device and browser, how you found the site, and a few actions: clicking “Book a demo”, opening the overview video, and submitting a form. For forms, we record that a form was sent, not what you wrote in it. Google Analytics doesn’t store your IP address. If you decline, or don’t choose, Google Analytics doesn’t run at all.

    How we use it

    • to reply to your enquiry and arrange a demo if you asked for one;
    • to send you occasional updates about Inhere if you signed up for them. We haven’t sent any yet. Before we do, we’ll add the email service we use to this page, and every email will have an unsubscribe link;
    • to act on pilot feedback;
    • to understand how the website is used and improve it; and
    • to keep the website secure and meet our legal obligations.

    We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use it for anything else unless you agree or the law allows it.

    Cookies

    When you first visit, we ask whether you’re happy for us to use Google Analytics cookies. Nothing is set unless you accept. If you do, Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, so it can tell one visit from another. We don’t use advertising or retargeting cookies.

    We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage, so we don’t ask again on every page. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. If you decline after accepting, we remove the Google Analytics cookies. The site works the same either way.

    Services we use

    These providers process personal information for us when you use the website:

    • Netlify (United States). Hosts this website and receives the forms you submit on it. Netlify also keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser and time of request, to run and secure the site.
    • Google Analytics (United States). Measures how the website is used, only if you accept analytics cookies (see "When you browse the site" above).
    • Google Fonts (United States). Serves the typeface the site uses. Your browser requests the font from Google, so Google receives your IP address.
    • Vimeo (United States). Hosts our overview video. The video only loads if you choose to play it, and we embed it with Vimeo’s “do not track” setting.

    Because they’re based overseas, your information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand. Before we send personal information overseas, we take the steps the Privacy Act requires.

    We may also share personal information if the law requires it, or with a buyer if our business is sold, on the condition that they protect it in the same way.

    How long we keep it

    We keep enquiries and feedback for as long as they’re relevant to our conversation with you or your organisation. We keep your details on the updates list until you unsubscribe. Google Analytics deletes detailed visit data after two months (Google’s default setting); only aggregated reports that don’t identify you are kept longer. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

    Keeping it safe

    The website only runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only the people at Inhere who need your information can see it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold.

    Your rights

    You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it, or stop sending you updates at any time. Email support@inherehq.com. We may need to confirm who you are, and we’ll respond within 20 working days.

    If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

    Changes to this policy

    If what we collect or the services we use change, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
